How will you make an impact in this role?

There are hundreds of opportunities to make your mark on technology and life at American Express. In this role you will apply your talents toward Technology Business Management capabilities that assist the enterprise with processes related to Portfolio, Agile, Vendor, Financial, and Workforce Management. Below are the key duties involved with this Senior Engineer role.

• Ideates on technical solutions that solve business needs working with Engineers, Product Owners & End Users.
• Assists with the design and architecture of new components and solutions that solve for Technology Business Management processes.
• Applies best practices, development frameworks, design patterns and agile practices to efficiently deliver software.
• Communicates technical concepts to both business and technical team members effectively.
• Conducts all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications. Including design, developing prototypes, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Deploys, supports, and monitors assigned applications across the development, test, and production environments using enterprise CI/CD tooling.
• Debugs production issues and identifies solutions for remediation within complex systems and organizational structures.
• Coordinates with infrastructure teams on security vulnerabilities and configuration changes.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of deep full stack .NET/SQL Server web application development experience.
• Experience using and coding in Windows, Linux, .NET Core, Angular, Javascript, APIs, Docker Cloud Containers, and SQL Server.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively present ideas to both business and technical team members and leadership.
