Job Description

Position Summary:

As an Field Service Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will have a meaningful role in guaranteeing flawless installation, maintenance, and servicing of our systems and instruments in customer laboratories. You should be based in Lodz or Katowice to support our customers in that area but also in other polish cities (Warsaw, Krakow, etc.)

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide services by following internal guidelines and customer processes.
• Install, repair, and maintain our laboratory equipment to ensure safe and effective handling by users.
• Conduct and document quality assurance measures, including IQOQ/OQPQ.
• Offer telephone support and failure analysis to help customers successfully conduct Thermo Fisher Scientific equipment.
• Independently plan and coordinate work processes in collaboration with various internal and external contacts.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on activities, including service reports, installation reports, and expense reports.

Keys to Success:

Education:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Medical Devices, or Instrumentation, or similar field.

Experience:

• At least one year of equivalent experience would be an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive appearance and excellent communication skills in Polish and a good command of English.
• Proven computer skills.
• High willingness to travel and work from a home office.
• Valid driving license.
