Job Description:
Join our new product development team as a Test Engineer and participate in all aspects of New Product Development. Develop the hands-on skills in testing, validating, characterizing and qualifying new micro controller products that will provide a solid foundation for an outstanding career in the semiconductor industry.
1. Actively participate in our New Product Development teams.
2. To grow into a position to develop new test programs based on Verilog simulations and assembly language, generate and debug new test
patterns, silicon characterization programs, and product qualification programs for new silicon.
3. Maintain test programs, improve test efficiency, manufacturing yield and throughput on recently released products. This includes test flow
optimization, test time reduction, cold/hot test elimination.
4. Interface and debug test issues with Microchip Manufacturing engineers in Thailand especially during new product qualifications, newp roduct release.
5. Interface and debug test issues with overseas New Product teams.
6. Analyze and create characterization reports, ie: histograms and distributions of parametric data collected on
new silicon over various conditions.
7. Over a longer term can be the driver for production and qualification test program development, as well as analyze, debug, and correct test
issues when running material through production environment.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Candidates should have the following;
1) BSEE/BSET
2) Programming experience, assembly, C, C+, or others
3) Good knowledge of semiconductor device physics is preferred
4) Knowledge of micro controllers and experience working with them is preferred. 5) Knowledge of analog circuits and non-volatile memory is preferred.
6) Overseas travel is a possibility.
