The Advanced Cores Group (ACG) is seeking a motivated, Product Development engineer to provide support to our Automotive, Communications, Aerospace/Defense (ACA) Business Unit located at ADI's Wilmington location. Products in this strategy are comprised of industry leading IP cores including but not limited to; High-speed ADC's, High-Speed DAC's and High-Speed Serializer and De-Serializers. These cores are targeted to be integrated into transceivers and standalone products used in various other product lines across the business unit as Analog devices is the industry leader in highspeed converter technology.

The Product Development Engineer you will be responsible for designing and developing high performance evaluation test solutions using Bench Test Equipment for first silicon verification, embedded firmware development, and PCBs. The candidate will be involved during the design development phase creating software to control the device, working with first silicon in the lab using high end test equipment, through the final validation of the core in the end system. The role is a mix of hardware knowledge, lab work and software development.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual and fast learner with strong technical, analytical and communication skills with interest in RF, High Performance Analog / Mixed Signal integrated circuits.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Develop product evaluation test solutions that includes both software and hardware to evaluate and optimize state-of-the-art ICs on bench for High Performance Analog / Mixed Signal integrated circuits. Knowlege of ADC, DAC or Serializer/De-serializer theory a plus!• Work a team of engineers in defining/developing evaluation test methodologies, evaluation test plans and evaluation test modes and software development to create a bench hardware and software solution.• Utilize precision measurement equipment such as high-speed scopes, phase-noise analyzers, spectrum, and network analyzers used to establish different RF, analog, power, and/or digital performance metrics.

Minimum qualifications

- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree a plus) in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline such as Computer Engineering or Electronics engineering

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data.

- Ability to work independently and as a team-based contributor within a multi-discipline and multi-cultural environment.

- Capable of clear, accurate and timely communication both written and verbal.

Preferred qualifications • Understanding of analog circuits that includes one or more of the following: analog circuits, RF circuits, ADCs, DACs, high speed serial interfaces, microcontrollers.• Experience using precision measurement equipment such as high-speed scopes, phase-noise analyzers, spectrum, and network analyzers used to establish different RF, analog, power, and/or digital performance metrics.• Strong programming skills, with a working knowledge of a programing language such as Python, Visual BASIC, LabVIEW and/or C/C++. Skilled in object-oriented programming in Python a plus!
