About the role:

The build pipeline is the beating heart of Vercel. Whether they're previewing a new app or pushing straight to production, every customer builds. Millions of builds flow through each day. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to grow the Build & Deploy team as it makes the build pipeline faster, steadier, and simpler.

What you will do:

• Hold a high bar for technical work and teamwork.
• Build rapport with each member of the team and support them as they level up their skills.
• Occasionally review and write code to unblock the team.
• Participate in and manage the team's on-call rotation.
• Work closely with the tech lead to set roadmaps.

About you:

• You have at least 3+ years of experience managing technical teams in rapidly growing companies.
• You are excited by building and nurturing engineering teams
• People tell you that you communicate well and you are comfortable with uncertainty.
• You have built and operated distributed systems at scale.
• You are located in the UK or Germany.
