Engineering Manager - ML Platform

ML & Data Platform @Dream11: 

Technology is at the core of everything we do. Our technology team helps us deliver a mobile-first experience across platforms (Android & iOS) while managing over 450 million RPM at peak with a user concurrency of over 15 million.

Building highly specialised and scalable data and ml platforms are key for driving excellence at this scale. Our Data and ML Platforms work with petabytes of data, and deliver the best user experience by running ML models at a scale of 60 million RPM. Data and machine learning is at the heart of driving product innovations and form a core tenet for all our decisions. Our platforms are built on a tech stack which is hosted on AWS & GCP with distributed systems like Spark, Flink, Cassandra, Aerospike, Akka, Voltdb, Ignite, Pulsar etc.

Your Role:

• Managing the design and implementation of software and its infrastructure, including code reviews, testing, deployment, monitoring using agile SDLC processes
• Contributing towards decision making on effort estimates, timelines, and leading transparent communication with stakeholders about risks and delays
• Owning the product roadmap and KTLO for services owned
• Partnering with stakeholders to prioritise and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and refining technical debt
• Hiring and nurturing top engineering talent to raise the bar of our operational excellence
• Diving into details of issues/incidents, outages, analysing root cause and preparing incident reports
• Building a scalable platform supporting thousands of users, enabling model development for Dream11's 220 million users with self-service ML experimentation pipelines

Qualifiers:

• 8+ years experience in software engineering and development
• 2+ years of experience managing technical teams and projects
• Working experience with AWS or any cloud infrastructure
• Experience working with ML products or platforms
