Engineering Placement Student

Zeeco Europe, based in Rutland just outside Stamford, are actively looking for some new talent to join our engineering teams. Join us for two months from 1st July until 31st August 2025, and for the very best students, this could lead to an opportunity after graduation. What does the job involve?

• Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety legislation, regulations, organisational and environmental requirements and ISO standards.
• You will gain an insight into all the different aspects of our work here at Zeeco Europe, from how we bring in orders, through the proposal and design stages and through our manufacturing operations.
• You will be allocated to an Engineering team and given projects of your own to plan and manage, under the direction of your manager, and with the support of a mentor.
• You may be allocated to a team where you will travel to customer sites, which could be anywhere in the world.

What kind of person are we looking for?

• You will be working towards your Bachelor’s degree, in either Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering and likely to be heading into your final year.
• You will be genuinely interested in the practical side of engineering or hands-on activities. For example, we'd like to hear if you enjoy figuring out how things work; making things, fixing bikes or cars, about a practical project you've done, or a club you've been involved with.
• Like all Zeeco Europe recruits, you will be able to show that you are full of initiative, adaptable, eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• You must live within a one hour commute of our Stamford office and must be able to drive on the A1, as we are not on any bus or train routes.
