Minimum Salary:114,478.00Maximum Salary:154,882.00
Salary offers will be made within the posted range. Placement within the range will be determined based on your similar work experience. The Port considers work experience to be similar if the scope and level of responsibility of your prior positions match the job being offered.
Some of what you'll be doing:
As an Engineering Systems & Data Analyst, you will work with progressive systems across multiple modules and applications, elicit, perform and develop system/process requirements, functional specifications, system configuration, system testing and documentation, and recommend customization development for Microsoft Suite applications such as SharePoint for the Engineering Department. You will also participate in strategic planning for systems integration and process development to define and reach long-range planning goals.
⢠You will enforce the Port Records Retention Policy and procedures as the Records Coordinator for Engineering including providing the proper care and management of department records to assure compliance. You will also perform file organization and maintenance ensuring proper storage of records, archive to off-site location as needed, and compliance with Public Disclosure Requests.
⢠You will conduct business process analysis, articulate product/technical capabilities of the applications used by Engineering, oversee data migration and retention.
⢠You will collaborate with Information & Communication Technology (ICT) staff to test and implement document control and change management system enhancements and discuss upgrade options.
⢠You will collaborate with Engineering leaders to develop business cases for technology improvements that include alternative technical solutions, options, risks, cost-benefit analysis, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
⢠You will create, maintain, and enhance system related documentation such as business processes, workflows, custom user reports, custom forms, user guides, and training manuals.
⢠You will proactively identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, research alternatives through testing and consulting with stakeholders.
⢠You will create and maintain system-related documentation, such as business requirements, process flows, status reports, and configuration worksheets.
⢠You will develop training for users in areas of specialization, design refresh or upgrade training as needed.
⢠You will perform periodic audits to maintain system security, ensure the systems are running properly, and users are using the applications in accordance with standard procedures.
Who you are:
⢠Experiencedâ You have five (5) years of experience providing technology solutions, training of others in technical system usage, and/or managing records retention/disposition process and four (4) years of experience developing business solutions with Microsoft Suite with specific experience programming workflows in SharePoint and Power Automate and/or developing forms.
⢠Desiredâ We hope you have an Analytics Certification such as Microsoft or Google Analytics or Data Science Certification.

You can manage multiple, concurrent projects, learn new technologies quickly, and take initiative to solve a broad range of problems as they arise.
⢠Technically Skilledâ You have knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including programming workflows in SharePoint and Power Automate and developing forms.
What else you need to know:
⢠Work Scheduleâ Your normal work schedule will be Monday â Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. You may be required to work during emergencies.
⢠Work Environment- This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Managementâs discretion.
⢠Washington State Residency Requirementâ Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
⢠Security Requirementsâ As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
