Engraver and Graphic Designer

Job Summary Athletic Awards Company, located in South Lake Union, has specialized in recognition and promotional products for over 74 years. We are currently seeking a self motivated and committed full-time team member to help us grow! We are hiring an engraver, we don't expect you to have any engraving experience. If you have a positive attitude, are willing to learn, have good typing and an eye for detail this is the job for you! Must be able to multitask, you will be working on multiple machines running different orders at the same time. It is a high paced production environment, you will not be working on a design for more than a few minutes. One of the great parts of this job is that you are creating a physical product and get to see your vision come to life! Responsibilities and Duties Design and layout awards Cut and engrave brass and aluminum plates The main duties of this position are designing quality graphics and then producing quality engraving, etching, and imprinting using several different tools. We're looking for someone with experience with both vector and bitmap images. Experience with Windows is necessary. Attention to detail is crucial. We need someone who can manage multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will have outstanding spelling and grammar abilities, enthusiasm for learning new skills; meet hard deadlines; and a positive attitude. Good customer service skills are a must since the position works directly with clients. Qualifications and Skills Someone with editor experience, typist, machinist. This is a production position, you will be working with machines and metal, if you are looking to just design on a computer all day this is not the job for you.
