Enrolled Agent, Tax Planner

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Enrolled Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles, enabling them to represent clients before the IRS. This role requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex financial situations while providing exceptional service to our clients. This is a part time position with the opportunity to go full time should it be the right option for both parties. Duties • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Represent clients during audits, appeals, and other interactions with the IRS or state tax authorities. • Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies, including estate planning and financial analysis. • Conduct thorough financial statement preparation and analysis to assist clients in making informed decisions. • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to maintain accurate financial records for clients. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and securities law to provide accurate guidance. • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial situations and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs. Qualifications • Proven experience in accounting or tax preparation, CPA is highly valuable. • Strong knowledge of GAAP, estate planning, and securities law is a plus. • Proficiency in accounting software such as CCH Access or Lacerte is essential. • Excellent financial acumen with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis. • Strong technical accounting skills with attention to detail. • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients. • Must be an Enrolled Agent or actively pursuing EA status .
