Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry Level Accountant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their accounting career in a supportive environment. The Entry Level Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Duties β€’ Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. β€’ Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation. β€’ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking. β€’ Conduct journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions through double entry bookkeeping. β€’ Collaborate with senior accountants in financial report writing and interpretation, providing insights into financial performance. β€’ Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support financial planning initiatives. β€’ Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero for various accounting tasks. β€’ Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant laws including SOX and securities law. β€’ Engage in auditing processes and support tax experience initiatives as needed. β€’ Provide mentoring support to interns or junior staff members when applicable. Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; relevant coursework or internships will be considered. β€’ Familiarity with financial concepts such as accrual accounting, corporate finance, and financial management is a plus. β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. β€’ Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles or governmental accounting is advantageous but not required. β€’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively. β€’ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. β€’ Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. β€’ Understanding of basic payroll processes and bookkeeping principles is beneficial.
