Enterprise Senior Accountant

We are actively seeking our next Senior Accountant a joyful and driven team member responsible for day-to-day accounting and finance tasks for clients in our Enterprise division.

This position is available for individuals based in India seeking 40 hours of work per week allowing you to balance other important parts of your life with an exciting fulfilling career. So what are we looking for in an ideal candidate?

• Accounting and payroll experience in a multi-client environment with US-based clients. College degree required. CPA/CAS firm experience is a strong plus.

• A proficiency in cloud accounting technologies with at least 2 years running payroll paying bills and handling all day-to-day transactional duties with US-based clients in multiple industries (3+ years in NetSuite SAGE Intaact QBO Bill.com Advanced Excel Gusto or other payroll software etc.)

• Advanced analytical skills to interpret large data into meaningful interpretation of financial reports.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting and reporting for PE and/or VC funded portfolio companies.

• Experience in managing audits for clients is a strong plus.

• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients with an awareness of what needs to be prioritized

• Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members across digital channels and an innate desire to build relationships

• Humility and openness to coaching and critiques; always seeking to improve

• Keen attention to detail and obsession with making sure there is accuracy integrity and dependability in their work

• Joy and a positive attitude in all communications internally and externally

• Persistence and an ability to politely remind others to stay on track

What does the day to day look like for this role?

• Working with more senior staff youll handle much of the day-to-day operations for our clients (transaction entry invoicing bill payments payroll preparation journal entries reconciliations etc.)

• Your daily tasks will be cleanly organized in Karbon our practice management system a critical tool that will set you up for success managing work across multiple clients

• While you wont be responsible for managing client relationships youll interact with clients from time to time answering specific questions or politely seeking certain information

• As you work youll always stop to ask questions of your team when you arent exactly sure what needs to be done - whether inside a clients books or another client system

This role is currently structured as a contractor position but will transition to full-time employment as our India-based team continues to grow.

Like most accounting roles it's common for weekly hours to fluctuate slightly (+/- 3-5 hours) due to varying client demands from week to week.
