Entitlement Project Manager
Full-Time | Phoenix Office
We are seeking a full-timeEntitlement Project Managerwith a strong background in real estate, land use entitlement, and project management to support our zoning attorneys and senior planner. The ideal candidate excels at relationship-building and persuasive communication.Success in this role requires a personable, client-focused presence and the ability to masterfully present—and persuasively sell—complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences (clients, municipal staff, commissions, and elected officials).
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct zoning due diligence and prepare entitlement applications.
· Draft project narratives and assist with maps, graphics, and supporting materials.
· Evaluate statistical data and present findings in written and oral form.
· Apply municipal codes, ordinances, and general plans in evaluating development proposals.
· Collaborate with attorneys, clients, engineers, architects, planners, public agencies, and stakeholders.
· Craft and deliver compelling presentations that secure stakeholder buy-in; translate technical issues into clear, persuasive narratives tailored to the audience.
· Frame entitlement strategies and communicate value propositions to clients and public-sector decision-makers; anticipate questions and address concerns to move projects forward.
·Participate in neighborhood meetings and public hearings (some evenings required)
Qualifications
· Personable, polished communicator with exceptional presentation/storytelling skills and a proven ability to persuasively sell ideas and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
· Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Public Policy, Geography, Environmental Studies, Real Estate Development, or related field preferred.
· 3+ years of planning or closely related experience.
· Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
· Knowledge of planning, zoning, and land use principles from both public and private perspectives.
· Ability to interpret technical documents such as plans, blueprints, and grading plans.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint or comparable presentation tools).
