Environmental Graphic Designer - Brand - Junior

Your Role Seattle’s Brand Design team is a collaborative group of designers, strategists, and storytellers working with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes—from environmental graphics and campus signage systems to identity and brand strategy identity. Learn more about our Brand Expertise What You Will Do • As an Environmental Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for the design of a wide variety of graphics, branded environments, signage, and wayfinding projects • You will work as a key partner on fast-paced interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and more that deliver projects ranging from strategic planning to architecture and interior design • You will deliver creative solutions in a diverse range of markets including hospitality, retail, aviation, residential, and workplace Your Qualifications • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Signage Design and Wayfinding or EGD with a professional degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design or a related field • Experience creating detailed message schedules & location plans based on architectural construction documents is required • Exceptional design sense with the ability to integrate color, imagery, and typography into three-dimensional built environments • Detail-orientation in drawing sets, shop drawing review, QA/QC, and knowledge of materiality • Wayfinding planning experience including conducting research, site survey, developing wayfinding strategies, and documenting design solutions (sign type drawings, message schedules & location plans) • Proficiency drawing in scale and familiarity with architectural construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings • Excellent communication skills and experience as a potential point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants, and project teams • Ability to multitask while remaining efficient, poised, and organized • Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types • Proficiency in the latest design software including Adobe Creative Suite and CAD Tools • Sketchup & Revit experience is preferred but not required. • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required. Portfolios should include at least 1 project with this particular focus, and candidates should be prepared to talk to this in their interview, especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwell and /or Net Zero Building certification. Cover Letter optional. • The base salary will be estimated between $84,000 - $98,050 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
