Your Role and Responsibilities
The work of the Workforce Management team encompasses activities such as:
1. Tactical Actions: Carry out immediate actions such as hiring and using service providers to fill short-term demand and supply gaps in projects/clients (e.g.: fill vacancies reduce idleness).
2. Strategic Planning: Develop strategic actions to address long-term skills gaps in projects/clients.
3. Measurement and Analysis: Evaluate the financial and operational effectiveness of workforce management decisions and actions including analysis of productivity and resource savings.
4. Applying Policies and Legislation: Utilize knowledge of IBM policies and local labor laws to inform workforce-related decisions and actions.
The internship vacancy will be within the Workforce Management Organization more focused on Vendor Management processes (Third Party Hiring) and the main activities include:
– Daily completion of a control spreadsheet and extraction of information for preparing reports;
– Management of positions/vacancies in projects (clients) in the IT area;
– Cadences/meetings with companies providing IT resources to support and meet open positions at IBM;
– Targeting positions classified as critical to prioritize service from supplier companies;
– Understanding the technical requirements of each vacancy and project for more assertive targeting of suppliers (“Having the right candidate/resource for the right vacancy”);

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Requirements:
• Studying for a degree in Administration Foreign Trade or related areas.
• Interest in supplier management and development of commercial partnerships.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Office suite tools.
• Proactivity and willingness to learn.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Differentiators:
• Previous experience in internships or work in the purchasing logistics or administration area.
• Knowledge of negotiation and contracts.
