Estimator/Project Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Duties • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates. • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. • Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. • Assist in the preparation of contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. • Provide support in project management by tracking progress and identifying potential cost overruns. • Utilize construction site experience to assess risks and provide insights on cost control measures. Experience • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. • Familiarity with cost control methods and pricing strategies within the construction industry. • Experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable. • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management. • Previous experience on construction sites is preferred, providing practical insights into project execution. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
