Estimator/Project Manager

Overview: AtSun Valley Builders, the Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for providing overall pricing, administration, and technical direction for medium to large-scale construction projects. This position ensures projects are constructed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contract documents as well as federal, state, and local regulations. The Estimator / Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Superintendent and report to the Project Director. Primary Responsibilities • Prepare complete and accuratequantity take-offsfor assigned scopes of work. • Develop detailedscope analyses and recapsfor subcontractor and supplier packages. • Review scopes with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Coordinate with the Estimating Assistant to ensure sufficientpricing coveragefor all trades. • Contribute to the development ofQualifications and Assumptionsfor Prime Contracts. • Conductsite visitsto gain project-specific insight and build rapport with field teams. • Facilitate theproject startup meetingand conduct follow-up meetings to track progress and action items. • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to develop abuyout strategyand review subcontractor scopes prior to award. • Manageproject documentation, including construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes. • Maintain and monitor theproject budget—review job cost reports monthly, analyze variances, and manage financial projections. • Attenddesign meetingsand provide input on phasing, constructability, and scheduling considerations. • Develop and maintain themaster project scheduleand overall phasing plan. Qualifications • Minimum3+ years of commercial construction management experience, preferably inJob Order Contracting (JOC), CMARor Public projects. • Self-motivated with strongverbal, written, and computer communication skills. • Highly organized with a proven ability tomeet deadlinesand manage multiple priorities. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within ateam-oriented environmentat Sun Valley Builders.
