ETO Manager - Cooling

SUMMARY OF JOB:

Work as E&E engineer to manage and maintain the released cooling products, including products improving & cost reduction. Keep improving the quality of Schneider cooling product. Improve the electrical design and support to solving customer issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Experience in design, development & estimation of Low voltage MCC, PCC, VFD,Soft starter & LV control panels.

• Having good knowledge in designing control panels & wiring for commercial air conditioners according to 60335-1& 2, UL508 & NFPA 70 standards to match the product requirements of USA and Canada.

• Having Knowledge in design Process D3, RCLP, DFMEA & DVP&R.

• Competent in resource management by MPP, Project Planning.

• Exposure to control panel design using UL508A & IEC61439 Providing detailed & engineered reports such as detailed wiring & terminal charts to minimize delay time & improved efficiency.

• Experienced in Application Engineering including Schematic diagrams, and BOM to make tailor made panels for customer requirements.

• Knowledge of Motor Starters, VFDs, relays and related Components.

• Support to answer the questions from service team or Technical Support Centre based on expertise knowledge of products.

• Analysis the root cause of products or components failure, and support to complete TEX (technical expert report) for customer issues. Creative problems-solving and diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities.

• Work with firmware engineer to create optimal hardware and firmware design to meet function and cost goal.

• Prepare ECO and CIM to factory.

• Support QVE projects for products cost reduction.

• Publish technical information: Resolutions, FAQs, Manuals, etc.

• Support project team for new part qualification and release, BOM creation, prototype build and test.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:

Preferred academic qualifications and background
Bachelor or above degree majored in electrical / electrionic

EXPERIENCE - MINIMUM REQUIRED:

• Min 7 to 8 yrs Solid experience in product electrical and electronic design. HVAC or Computer room air conditioner electrical design experience is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - REQUIRED:

• Experience with design of single phase and three phase power distribution system design.

• Knowledge on power distribution system component selection, such as Circuit Break, Fuse, Relay, Contact, Wire Capable of design electrical single line diagram with CAD, ePLAN, Visio or other tools.

• Familiar with knowledge of electrical safety, EMC/EMI, CCC, UL, CE, RoHS.

• Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design.

• W orking with M anufacturing , E ngineering, Quality, Purchasing department to

drive continuous improvement on Quality, Technology and Product cycle life.

• Familiar with Testing process such as ICT, FCT, Unit test.

• Familiar with product development and product industrialization process, machine level product experience is preferred.
• Fluent in Oral and Written English

• Good ownership and s elf-motivation to complete work.

• Good communication capabilities to different function teams and external customers.
