About the Role:
Resound Energy Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects. This role requires a deep understanding of EV technologies, permitting processes, utility coordination, and construction management.
Description of Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is accountable for the successful execution of EV charging infrastructure projects from sales handoff through closeout. This includes conducting a comprehensive scope and contract review, establishing clear communication with stakeholders, and managing project timelines using jurisdictional trends and internal benchmarks.
As the primary facilitator, the Project Manager is expected to leverage internal resources across Resound Energy Services to assess, plan, and implement the defined scope of work. They are responsible for ensuring all project documentation is accurate, complete, and approved in a timely manner. Proactive issue identification and resolution are essential to maintaining momentum and avoiding delays.
Key responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams (EDT, Service, Superintendents) and external stakeholders (AHJs, customers, manufacturers, and distributors) to maintain schedule integrity and ensure smooth execution. The PM also oversees site readiness, safety planning, and logistical coordination, including site walks and the preparation of installation packets.
During the final phases, the Project Manager manages commissioning, permit closure, invoicing, and documentation filing. Post-installation, they ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up communication and facilitate the delivery of O&M materials. A proactive, detail-oriented, and communicative approach is essential to uphold Resound Energy Services’ standards for quality, safety, and customer experience.
Typical Project Lifecycle:
• Project Kickoff & Planning
Upon assignment, the Project Manager conducts a scope and contract review, initiates customer engagement, verifies site contacts, and establishes communication protocols. Project timelines are developed using jurisdictional trends and internal benchmarks.
• Design & Documentation
The PM enters the project into the scheduling system and oversees the creation, review, and approval of key documents including the Electrical Design Team (EDT) plan and major/minor bill of materials (BOM). Coordination with internal teams ensures timely submittals and identification of potential issues.
• Permitting & Pre-Construction
Once documentation is submitted, the PM monitors plan review and new service progress, schedules pre-construction meetings, and adjusts timelines based on AHJ approvals and superintendent assignments. The PM conducts site walks to assess safety and logistics, verifies materials with the lead and EDT, and finalizes the installation schedule. An installation packet is prepared with all necessary documentation and site-specific instructions .The PM oversees commissioning, schedules and closes permits, and ensures final invoicing is completed. All project documentation is collected and filed for future reference. The PM coordinates delivery of the O&M packet and follows up with the customer to confirm satisfaction and request feedback or a review.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
3 Years of Project Management in a related electrical field.
2+ years of experience managing infrastructure or EV-related projects.
Strong knowledge of EV charging technologies, standards, and industry trends.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications:
3 Years Project Management Experience in the electrical industry
Experience working with utilities, municipalities, and permitting agencies.
Familiarity with NEVI, CALeVIP, or other EV incentive programs.
