Event / Catering Sales Associate Full job description Glen Arden Clubis currently seeking a talented individual to join the team as anEvent & Catering Sales Associate. This could be the perfect opportunity to advance your career within hospitality sales and event planning. The Event Sales & Services Associate is responsible for generating direct sales of event and catering opportunities, coordination and facilitation of all groups and events at the club, and for ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish while supporting the banquet & catering team in generating revenue and business growth for the club. Your responsibilities will include: • Event & Catering Sales: Directly facilitate qualifying, proposing, negotiating, and contracting agreements for all events and catering only opportunities under designated deployment. Prospecting and acquiring new clients, developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, understanding competitive landscape and identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts and securing bookings. Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email marketing, social media, and in-person visits to generate leads and convert them into clients. • Client Liaison: Directly communicate with clients to ensure all group and event documents are comprehensively prepared and finalized using tools and systems provided. ·Banquet Coordination: Oversee the timely distribution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in line with all deadlines. • Upselling & Client Communication: Present clients with potential upgrade opportunities maximizing revenue opportunities, collecting necessary agreements and deposits, and consistently communicating on group arrangements ·Group & Event Feedback & Management: Partner with staff for pre-and post-event meetings including BEO review, guaranteeing client satisfaction and collating feedback. • Payment Management: Supervise the entire client payment process, from initial deposits to the final bill. • Booking & Documentation: Utilize the Sales & Catering software (TPP) to meticulously document interactions and attach vital documents such as BEOs, payment forms, diagrams, and agendas. Qualifications: • The ideal candidate will offer 2 years of proven experience in sales and servicing banquets/events in a hotel, event center or similar type of venue. • Knowledge of event planning, food and beverage operations and service standards. • Proficiency in event management software and tools. • Strong customer service skills, computer skills, and organizational and negotiation skills are critical to the success of this position. • Ideal candidate will be outgoing and a proven self-starter. • Schedule is flexible and applicants must be able to work a varied schedule as dictated by the level and type of business.
