Base pay + Commissions + Tips Custom Menus for small scale events Job Overview: MileHighCook is seeking a skilled and reliable Event Chef to join our growing team for event-based and in-home dining experiences across Colorado. The ideal candidate is experienced in elevated plating, comfortable cooking in varied residential kitchens, and confident delivering exceptional client service. This is a contract role with flexible scheduling based on bookings. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and execute custom multi-course menus or buffet-style meals for private events • Handle setup, cooking, plating, and cleanup with professionalism and care • Communicate directly with clients when needed in a warm, professional manner • Adapt to dietary restrictions, allergies, and kitchen environments • Ensure food quality, timing, and presentation meet our high standards • Transport and manage ingredients, tools, and equipment as needed Qualifications: • Minimum 1- 3 years professional kitchen experience (private chef or restaurant) • Culinary training preferred • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes • Valid food handler's certificate • Strong time management, plating, and sanitation skills • Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and some travel) Bonus if you have: • Experience with high-profile or VIP clients • Comfort with menu development and global cuisines • Wine pairing or mixology knowledge
