Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Event Carpenter/Fabricator to help create physical assets and branded environments that support activations, mobile marketing, product launches and other events and experiences. You will be responsible for building a diverse range of items, including bars, wall units, unique installations, and theatrical stages. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of materials, including wood, plastic, foam, plaster, fabric, and other non-metal elements. This role requires the ability to work in a team setting while adhering to all health and safety standards, ensuring that every item is not only visually appealing but also structurally sound.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in Interpreting project plans and blueprints to understand event decor and furniture requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials like wood, plastics, and fabric for custom installation pieces.
• Use a variety of tools, including table saws and hand tools, for fabrication tasks.
• Apply laminating techniques and other finishes to enhance the appearance of items.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards and design specifications.
• Collaborate with event planners and designers to align installations with the overall event vision.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing decor items as needed.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a fabricator/carpenter or similar role, preferably with hands-on experience in event decor and structures.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, carpentry, and set design techniques.
• Proficient in using table saws, electrical and manual tools, and measurement equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• High school diploma; completion of a relevant apprenticeship or training program is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
