Events Lead Chef|Part-time| Ensemble Arts

Types of events that can be expected: • Cocktail receptions, seated dinner • Breakfast & lunch buffets • Private dining • Weddings, galas and other large events This role pays an hourly wage of $30 to $35. Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.Responsibilities: • Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment • Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen • Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meets Events standards • Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking • Assists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assigned • Maintains a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu items • Maintains a clean work environment, including floors and passages • Cleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management team • Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. clean and organized. • Assisting the unloading of deliveries • Manage a team of 15+ or more kitchen assistances • Work closely with event captain to create a positive client experience • Ensure sanitation standards meet city compliance • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors • Assist with set-up and cleaning operational areasQualifications: • Professional work ethic • 2-3 years of related cook experience • Prepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracy • Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when required • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills • Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issues • Support their fellow cooks by being a team playerStrengthened by our Differences.
