Our opportunity:

The Events Manager is an exciting position at Automation Anywhere and has been created to focus on managing numerous tradeshows well as other events including partner events throughout the US. Automation Anywhere takes pride in putting on unique world class events. This person must have exceptional project management skills, be someone who has a deep understanding of events, and is highly collaborative.

This is an Individual Contributor role responsible for managing various global events, in collaboration with other global event planners.  This is a contract opportunity for an assignment up to 12 weeks.

Remote position with the ability to work anywhere within the U.S

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of assigned events including but not limited to event plan, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Working closely with event speakers and presenters to develop compelling content that resonates with the audience
  • Incorporating innovative elements such as interactive technology and experiential activities to enhance attendee engagement
  • Overseeing internal teams and external vendors to deliver event on time and within budget
  • Defining and executing the communications plan (emails, conference calls, calendars, etc.) to keep internal stakeholders informed about all information related to events
  • Determining events target audience, goals, and objectives to ensure success
  • Creating event strategy, themes, marketing, and timelines
  • Working with internal teams to identify successful event measurements & outcomes
  • Developing qualitative and quantitative pre- and post-event surveys, post-event evaluation, reporting, and analysis
  • Analyzing and summarizing lead data for distribution to sales for follow-up
  • Determining event agenda framework: topics, priorities, concerns, gaps, opportunities
  • Identifying, ordering, and shipping trade show assets: giveaways, collateral, videos, entertainment, etc
  • Identifying creative ways to market to new audiences and stakeholders
  • Capturing accurate budget information, proactively communicate budget status, including overages
  • Sourcing, managing, and negotiating agreements and contracts with vendors
  • Managing all venue logistics before, during and after the events, including setup, teardown, and staffing

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • BA/BS Required (Hospitality, Marketing, or Business Degree Preferred)
  • 5+ years in corporate event management
  • 2+ years experience managing events
  • Experience working with event management agencies and other vendors
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets
  • Experience working with a project management tool like Asana or Smartsheet helpful
  • Salesforce and Marketo experience a plus
  • Must be flexible to travel within the U.S as needed

  • Ability to develop relationships with employees, vendors, attendees and partners
  • Strong team player and leader who will hold others accountable to deliverables and budgets
  • Experienced in budget management and tracking
  • Calm-under-pressure during times of stress and the ability to think of solutions on the spot
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment

The hourly rate for this position is $45-55/hr. The hourly rate offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
