Position Summary SafeNest, Nevada’s largest and most comprehensive nonprofit dedicated to ending the epidemic of domestic and sexual violence, is seeking a high-energy, creative, and results-driven Events Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our signature fundraising events and community engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative and organized professional with a passion for social impact, fundraising, and community building. The Events Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing two annual signature events—The SafeNest Soirée and the Run for Hope 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run—as well as a calendar of community awareness and fundraising events throughout the year. This position will lead all aspects of event development, including sponsorships, donor cultivation, marketing, logistics, in-kind donations, volunteer coordination, and post-event follow-up. This role also oversees The Nest, SafeNest’s on-site event space, managing bookings, partnerships, and growth strategy to ensure it aligns with SafeNest’s mission and financial goals. In addition, the Events Marketing Manager will be cross-trained in marketing and social media to support the broader communications goals of the agency and ensure alignment between event promotion and brand messaging. Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Events: • Serve as lead organizer and fundraiser for two annual signature events: SafeNest Soirée and the Run for Hope 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. • Conceptualize, plan, and execute additional community fundraising and awareness events throughout the year. • Set and achieve revenue goals for each event, including sponsorships, ticket sales, peer-to-peer fundraising, and donations. • Build and manage event budgets, timelines, and run-of-show documents. • Recruit, steward, and engage sponsors, donors, and in-kind partners. • Coordinate logistics including venues, vendors, permits, contracts, catering, entertainment, signage, and day-of execution. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure mission integration and survivor-centered messaging at all events. • Other duties as assigned. Management of The Nest Event Space: • Manage bookings and inquiries for The Nest, SafeNest’s new event space. • Develop and implement rental pricing strategy for nonprofit and for-profit clients. • Create systems for space scheduling, setup, client communications, and follow-up. • Promote The Nest as a community asset and revenue-generating opportunity. Marketing & Social Media Support: • Partner with the marketing and communications team to develop promotional strategies for all events. • Contribute content ideas for social media, email campaigns, and collateral related to events and community engagement. • Ensure brand consistency across all event-related materials and outreach. Administrative & Cross-Functional Duties: • Track and report event metrics, revenue, attendance, and donor/sponsor engagement using QGiv, Donor Perfect, Eventbrite, and other platforms. • Maintain CRM records for all event-related interactions. • Participate in cross-departmental planning meetings. • Serve as an ambassador of SafeNest at events and in the community. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising setting. • Proven track record of managing large-scale events with successful outcomes. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite, QGiv, Donor Perfect, and Eventbrite. • Experience securing sponsorships and building partnerships with corporate and community organizations. • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
