Executive Assistant - Legal (Contract)

Your experience includes…  

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience, or Masters and 6+ years of related experience is required. 
• Prior experience supporting Legal executives. 
• Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
• Prior experience in the biotechnology industry (preferred) 
• Ability to use discretion and deftly handle confidential information. 

You are interested in…  

• Working closely and effectively with the General Counsel and her leadership team, providing support in organizing meetings and calendar management, prioritizing appropriately. 
• Assisting with paralegal activities as needed, including working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to assist with and participate in information gathering, document development, and contract and issue reviews; experience with litigation or patent prosecution docketing a plus. 
• Drafting and/or editing materials including correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other documents. Providing support in the preparation of executive and Board of Directors materials, helping to iterate presentations, reviewing documents for content flow and accuracy; experience with governance matters a plus. 
• Partnering with other Executive Assistants to organize corporate events, meetings and Leadership Team meetings. Supporting three Vice Presidents and the General Counsel in preparing agendas, taking minutes, collecting, and reviewing presentation materials, reserving conference rooms and coordinating video conferences. 
• Coordinating domestic and international travel as well as process travel & expense reports for reimbursement. 
• Working with Finance to oversee the law firm billing process, manage purchase orders and coordinate invoice review and approval. 
• Excited about learning, evaluating, and vetting new technology such as document management systems, billing and invoicing systems, possible AI enhancements to processes supporting the law group. 

About you:  

You are a driven, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently. You have experience working with C-suite executives and your previous position(s) may have included supporting executives in a legal setting (law firm for example). You are confident in your abilities to support three Vice Presidents and Tessera’s General Counsel, all requiring slightly different levels of support. You are excited at the prospect of playing a significant role in shaping the culture of the department and being a member of a close knit team of Executive Assistants.
