Job Description

Executive Chef Full-time Executive Chef needed for a new concept of a well-established restaurant. The Executive Chef will be the primary point of contact and leader in creating and maintaining high food quality standards, cost control and leading a reliable, tight-knit culinary team. This is a hands-on role for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the knowledge and experience of balancing efficiency, quality and cost control. • The Executive Chef is responsible for the total operation and financial results • The Executive Chef will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities; estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food, standardize production, maintain high-quality standards, plan and price menus, ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen. The Executive Chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, and performance. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area throughout the kitchen, walk-ins and storage areas • Oversee scheduling, staffing, training and team morale • Collaborate with ownership on menu development, menu updates and specials • Enforce cleanliness, food safety and health code standards Requirements: • Proficiency with automated reporting systems including, but not limited to; Inventory, Food Cost, Scheduling, Time & Attendance and labor preferred • Excellent communication and organization skills • Excellent culinary and food processing skills • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control • Ability to maintain an efficient operation, troubleshoot and report any malfunctions of equipment • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff • Maintain sanitation standards throughout the work area • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts. • ServSafe certified or willing to obtain What we offer: Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Health and Wellness benefits Paid vacation and Holidays Stable, long-term opportunity with a well-respected institution Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter and salary requirements.
