Job Details • Job Type: Full-Time • Job Type: Contract • Job Type: Yearly contract with possibility of extension • End Date: Depending on when the contract is signed by all parties • Application Deadline: August 14th, 2025 • Education: BS degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate is a plus. • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Executive Chef to join our team on a one-year contract basis, with the possibility of an extension. This position involves providing culinary services for an executive's primary residence. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities • Menu Planning and Food Preparation: Plan menus, purchase ingredients, prepare, and serve meals for the primary residence, ensuring all dietary requirements of family members are met. • Special Events: Prepare meals for private dinners and special events held at the primary residence. • On-Call Catering: Provide on-call catering services as needed, whether at the residence or at different venues. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Chef in a similar position, preferably in a hotel setting. • Comprehensive understanding of various cooking methods, regional cuisines, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. • Minimum of two (2) years of industry experience in a supervisory role within a recognized food service establishment. • Ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed, providing effective solutions. • Familiarity with industry best practices, basic computational ability, and basic computer skills. • A BS degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate is a plus. Additional Information Benefits • Reimbursement for health insurance premiums at a rate equal to the lesser of 75% or $8,500. • Coverage for New York State Unemployment Insurance, New York Disability Insurance, and Workers Compensation Insurance. • Applicable Social Security Tax (FICA) will be deducted from the employee's pay. • Federal Income Tax, New York State, and New York City withholding tax, as appropriate, will be deducted from the employee’s salary.
