We are an established, upscale Italian restaurant with a rich history and a loyal clientele seeking ahands-on Executive Chefto lead our culinary team into the next chapter. This is aconfidential backfillfor our current chef, and discretion is essential. Responsibilities: • Lead daily BOH operations with discipline, professionalism, and urgency • Create refined, seasonal menus using fresh ingredients while maintaining food cost targets (≤28%) • Manage food and labor costs with precision—order wisely, prep efficiently, and schedule strategically • Implement and enforce systems for prep, inventory, cleanliness, and station setup • Collaborate on menu development for banquets, takeout, ghost kitchen, happy hour, and late-night bar menus • Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency • Uphold high standards for plating, flavor, and presentation (this is fine dining, not banquet fare) You Must Be: • A strong leader withat least 5 years of Executive Chef or CDC experience in upscale dining • Obsessed with food cost, labor cost, quality control, and cleanliness • Passionate about Italian cuisine but open to innovation and multicultural influences • Capable of refining outdated plates into modern, beautiful presentations • Fluent in kitchen Spanish preferred; ServSafe certified required • Calm under pressure with a sense of urgency and pride in execution • Able to lead by example—working the line when needed, managing prep when it’s slow What We Offer: • Stable ownership with a clear vision for growth and improvement • Respectful, team-oriented culture—no drama, just accountability and pride • Strong support staff and committed FOH team • Opportunity to make a name for yourself as we revitalize and rebrand • Health benefits and potential performance-based bonus after 90 days To Apply: Submit a resume and a brief cover letter detailing your experience with cost control, leadership, and modernizing menus.
