Executive Protection Officer

Inter-Con is searching for aspiring individuals to join our thriving team of Armed Security Officers. You’ll work as a member of a close team to form the backbone of the broad security services Inter-Con provides its valued clients every day. Officer must have: -Valid Guard card -Valid Driver's License -Must have prior law enforcement or executive protection course certified -CCW Qualified Specific benefits include: Competitive Pay Recognition and Reward Programs Training and Career Development Opportunities for Medical, dental, Holidays, vacation and sick, and 401 (k) retirement plan Uniform and equipment provided Additional benefits vary depending on position Expected Responsibilities: • Raise, lower, and fold flags • Use portable radio communication equipment • Patrol interior and exterior facilities (as directed) • Provide site traffic control • Patrol parking lots/parking structures • Parking lot/parking structure traffic control • Protect vehicles from vandalism or theft while on County property • Monitor and record readings of various meters • Enforce parking rules, including issuing warnings and citations • Maintain keys as issued • Lock and unlock doors and gates • Provide crowd control • Provide individual control • Control access to facilities (sign in & sheets, verify identifications, etc.) • Operate security alarm equipment • Monitor and escort contractors throughout Client Property In case of an emergency: • Activating fire alarm equipment • Initiate emergency evacuation procedures • Perform fire watch • Contact law enforcement or emergency services/first responders agencies, as appropriate. Qualifications: • Be eighteen (18) years of age or older. • Must possess and maintain a valid Permanent Guard Card and be registered with DCA, BSIS. • Possess a valid BSIS certification for armed security. • Possess a valid Exposed Weapons permit. • Be fluent in English (both written and spoken). • Have no criminal conviction that rendering individual unsuitable for the position for which the officer is intended. • Must possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification at all times, without lapse. • Must complete and maintain Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification at all times, without lapse. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Speak, read, and write English. Have a minimum of three (3) years of private security, law enforcement, or relevant military experience.
