Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and management, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and technical skills to assist in the daily operations of our kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service during peak hours. • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. • Manage inventory control and ensure proper stock levels for all kitchen supplies. • Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality and presentation meet fine dining standards. • Collaborate with Executive Chef for special events and banquets, ensuring all dietary requirements are met. • Handle shift management duties, including scheduling staff and managing workflow during service. Experience • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting. Club Experience will be given priority. • Strong background in food service management, including menu planning, food handling, and inventory management. • Experience supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively. • Familiarity with catering operations and banquet experience is highly desirable. • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food industry is preferred. • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for kitchen management is essential.
