Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to join our agile development team. The team develops ESET mobile solutions for both consumer market and business customers.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• design and implement modular object-oriented software for Android

• participate in Code Reviews as a member of an agile team

• write clean, maintainable code following industry standards and best practices

• participate in code quality improvements, keeping in mind future code maintenance and performance

• work closely with other R&D teams

• cooperate with representatives from Sales, Product Management and Technical Support

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field of study

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development for Android

• Idiomatic Kotlin programming with expertise in Coroutines and Flow

• Strong proficiency in modern Android frameworks, including Jetpack Compose, Hilt, and Navigation

• experience with Git versioning system

• good organizational and communication skills

• English language (written - intermediate, spoken - basic)

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with iOS development (Swift)

• Experience with multi-module architectures and scalable projects

• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for cross-platform development

• Knowledge of C/C++ is an advantage

• Experience with automated testing

• Experience with Jenkins/Jira/Confluence

• Experience with Agile Development
