Experienced Carpenter - Warranty Service Technician

Company Overview: Hughes Trim has become a leading installation source for national home builders throughout the Florida market. We install Exterior Doors, Interior Trim and Stair packages. We have an opening for an to perform warranty service work covering south Jacksonville, Orange Park, Middleburg, Green Cove Springs,St. Augustine area. This position will make service calls to homes, punch out or QA jobs for new home construction. This involves exterior doors, interior doors & trim, and door hardware. Technical Requirements: • Perform warranty service work: make repairs reported by homeowners: exterior/interior doors, pocket doors, crown molding, bi-fold/bypass doors, casing & baseboard, door hardware - hinges/locks, stairs skirt boards, open rail, spindles, treads/risers, adjust doors, change out threshold. • A good understanding and knowledge of finish carpentry. • Understand submittal data and construction documents. • Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints. • Competency in general computer applications: Windows, Word, Excel, etc. Job Requirements: • Good communications skills (verbal and written) • Ability to work in a harsh environment, exposed to the elements, with physical activity. • Good organization skill • Attention to detail • Able to work with people from different backgrounds • Excellent work ethic • Must have dependable work truck • Must have own tools: air compressor, miter saw, nail gun, screw gun.
