Job Summary:We are seeking a professional and experienced Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial glazing, with the ability to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards. Safety, precision, and client satisfaction are paramount. Responsibilities: • Shop Drawing Interpretation:Read and interpret shop drawings to determine the shape, size, color, and thickness of glass required for installation. • Measurement and Cutting:Accurately measure, mark, and cut glass to specifications both in the workshop and on job sites. • Glass Installation:Install glass in windows, storefronts, doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and other structures. • Material Handling:Load and transport glass and materials to job sites, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage. • Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards. • Sealant Application:Apply high-grade silicone and other sealants around glass installations to ensure watertight and secure placements. • Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve issues related to glass installations, ensuring high-quality finishes and client satisfaction. • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered to ensure transparency and effective project management. Coordination with Trades:Coordinate with other trades and professionals on construction sites to ensure smooth and efficient project completion, aligning with the overall construction schedule and standards Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of commercial glazing experience. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Advanced knowledge of glazing techniques, including storefronts, curtain walls, fabrication, and various glass types. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities and a team-oriented attitude. • Ability to pass a drug test and background check. • Positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
