Job Description
M Brothers at Mayoby Medure Brothers Culinary Concepts is a 220-seat, 7,000 square foot upscale-casual restaurant at the Mayo Clinic's Southside campus on San Pablo Road. The restaurant includes full-service dining plus full-service bar, and coffee shop plus a grab-and-go area. The sit-down restaurant is open both to hospital visitors and the general public.

OurSous Chefswork alongside the Chef de Cuisine in an open kitchen that provides diners with an animated and sensory-filled dining experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
β’ Manage all activities in the kitchen including food production, preparation and service
β’ Develops kitchen team members through hands-on training, motivation and mentorship
β’ Ensure that food products, presentation and plating are of the highest quality and are prepared to serve in a timely manner
β’ Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes and presentation in conjunction with our specifications
β’ Documenting on-hand inventories and placing orders while balancing quality with cost of goods and profitability
β’ Educate team members on safe work behaviors and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment
β’ Inspect all food preparation and cooking equipment on a timely basis to ensure they are kept clean, sanitary and in good working order
Qualifications and Skills:
β’ Ability to create an environment of respect, teamwork, pride and quality with compromise
β’ Formal culinary training or associate degree in culinary arts preferred (not required)
β’ 3-5 Years cooking experience in an upscale-casual restaurant and experience in a culinary leadership role preferred
β’ Strong communication skills and leadership qualities
β’ Experience managing inventories and placing food orders
β’ High standards for cleanliness, health, safety and sanitation
β’ ServSafe food manager certified
