Experienced Sushi Chef

Overview Onesan is seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and preparation, with a focus on creating high-quality sushi dishes. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests through your culinary expertise and creativity. Duties • Prepare and present sushi dishes according to the restaurant's standards and menu specifications. • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients. • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality meal preparation. • Assist in menu planning by contributing creative ideas for new sushi offerings. • Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management. • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. • Strong knowledge of food handling, food safety, and kitchen operations. • Familiarity with various sushi-making techniques and ingredients. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. • A passion for culinary arts, particularly in Japanese cuisine, is highly desirable. • Experience in menu planning and creativity in meal preparation is a plus.
