Position Summary
At Nestle Purina PetCare, we are passionate about transforming the lives of pets and the people who love them. A key ambition of ours is to deliver new-to-world solutions that give pet owners the confidence and reassurance they are seeking in the decisions they make every day regarding their pets behavior, health and nutrition needs. We aim to do this by developing digital products and services for pet owners and vets that translate each pet's data into current and predictive insights unique to each pet.
As an Expert IT Solution Architect, you'll be a skilled lead architect with domain expertise in a range of strategic technology areas; AI, IoT, embedded systems, and Big Data. You'll develop and execute long-term strategy for accelerating development of reliable AI services. You will be a member of the group's core leadership team who, collectively, are responsible for developing the AI that provides the predictive health and nutrition intelligence and personalized recommendations for all products in Nestle Purina's global digital product ecosystem.
- Design and lead fundamental research in AI digital technologies and solutions for industrial automation, pet health, omics, video labeling, and smart devices
- Lead and manage the research and development to support IOT devices on various firmware and software platforms
- Architect and design real time sensor data and video streaming cloud solutions for industrial equipment, test equipment, and smart devices
- Lead deployment of the infrastructure required to support development of connected AI products and services
- Work closely with product teams to improve and support their development and release processes
- Scope and define strategies for data labelling and annotation efforts to improve effectiveness
- Conduct all activity in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and all required Company policies and procedures
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related fields
- 7 years of experience leading teams that have delivered infrastructure platform services to internal and/or external customers
- 3+ years' experience driving projects from inception to production
- 3+ years' experience in building solutions using public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
Other
- Experience working with agile teams to develop, deploy, and enhance high-performing data science deliverables is preferred
- Hardware & software knowledge related to industrial automation & IOT smart devices, including PLC programming, sensors and actuators deployment, communication chipsets, communication protocols, cloud based over the air updates, embedded firmware, and edge AI is preferred
- Computer vision expertise in image classification, segmentation, captioning, video analysis and multi object tracking & localization is preferred
- Expertise in RNN & CNN deep neural network architectures with Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Theano & MXNET frameworks is preferred
- Robotics knowledge in hardware (LIDAR, sensors, actuators, end effectors etc.), programming languages (like ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, C/C++), ROS, SLAM and motion planning algorithms is preferred
- Expertise in Bayesian Probabilistic Programming using MCMC samplers like Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) & Metropolis Hastings is preferred
- Knowledge of NLP text classification, topic modeling, machine translation & speech recognition is preferred
- Experienced in server less deployments with CICD pipelines utilizing infrastructure as code tools (like Terraform), GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus
