As the Expert, Sustainability and Carbon Accounting, you'll be responsible for the North America Zone-wide coordination and execution of climate strategy, including greenhouse gas goal-setting, roadmaps, and plans under scientifically established standards for our various operating companies. This position will utilize internal and external data sources to drive insights for food, beverage, and pet care business investments and operational/supply-chain transformation. You will interact significantly with Strategic Business Units, Group, Zone, and market sustainability resources that contribute to, and help drive, the outcomes of the climate strategy. This role will work closely with the Zone North America Climate Leaders Network to drive results across Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions.
- Create and manage GHG Reduction Glidepath across Zone North America Climate Leaders Network, including emissions factor tracking, verification of reductions, and scenario planning across food, beverage, and pet care categories
- Monitor compliance and report progress to Nestle Global Climate Targets
- Represent Nestle Zone North America in our region's technical industry working groups on environmental measurement and verification
- Actively engage in internal technical teams to drive Nestle's Net Zero Roadmap, Generation Regeneration, and other Climate initiatives
- Support the Sustainability Leadership and Executive Leadership teams on GHG and environmental impact analysis
- Stay up to date on current and emerging policy and regulatory drivers of GHG emissions disclosure, environmental reporting requirements, and management in North America
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of professional experience with 2+ years of those years in Carbon Accounting, evaluating and implementing GHG goals, or relevant experience
OTHER
- Master's Degree is preferred
- Degree focused on Sustainability Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Management, or a related subject field preferred
- 1+ years of experience analyzing raw ingredient materials and supply-chain / Scope 3 GHG emissions is preferred
The approximate pay range for this position is $108,000 to $115,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
