Job Description
The Gogo Business Aviation FAA Certification Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the certification process. You will coordinate FAA activities for multiple products and installations on aircraft. You will also ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations and provides guidance to team members throughout the project.

How will you make a difference?
- Coordinate all aspects of the STC certification process with the FAA/ODA and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify certification regulations and requirements and determine methods of compliance
- Develop and maintain certification documents to include, but not limited to Project Specific Certification Plan, MDL, Conformity Inspection Plan, Compliance Checklist, Ground/Flight Test Plan and Report, Compliance Report, Weight & Balance Report, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness
- Own and execute certification processes: plan submissions, conformity inspections, ground/flight tests, and STC
- Maintain and update existing STCs
- Review and support DO-178 Software and DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware certification documents and processes in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
- Manage and coordinate with DERs and subject matter experts to obtain FAA approval on projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required
- 2 - 5 years' experience with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process
- Familiarity with working with DERs and/or ODAs

- Ability to write technical documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills, experience and talents
- Aircraft design or maintenance experience
- Exposure to leading or managing projects (systems, software, or hardware)
- Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178C, and DO-254

Colorado Equal Pay Statement: Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role to be located in the state of Colorado.
Base Pay:
80,000.00 - 100,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
