Job Description
The Bryer Company is a regional manufacturer of commercial metal roofing & siding serving the architectural, commercial and industrial construction markets. Bryer is a growing and dynamic company that has been in business for over 30 years and puts a high priority on service and quality.
Bryer is seeking a highly motivated individual who is organized and has excellent attention to detail to fill a Machine Operator position. This is a permanent full-time position with the ideal candidate wanting to work hard and grow with us for the long term.
DUTIES:
• Operate sheet metal processing and related fabrication equipment in a production environment.
• Using new equipment such as, EVO bender and Tennsmith shear.
• Producing parts to specification within allotted time frame.
• Verify all parts produced meet QC standards.
• Follow daily work schedule and record completed work.
• Maintain clean machines and work area. Remove clutter, sweep and wipe down all equipment
• Forklift loading & offloading
• Order packaging & crating
• General equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Fill in for additional general warehouse duties & local deliveries (if needed)
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Metal fabrication or sheet metal processing experience
• Familiarity with Auto-Brake, Press Brake or Roll former type processes, controllers and programming.
• Basic understanding of Pneumatic and electrical systems and components.
• Ability to read part drawings and utilize measuring tools including tape measures, calipers and gages.
• Basic math skills and basic computer skills.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills a plus.
• Can lift 75 lbs., regular standing, walking, carrying, reaching, bending and stooping.
• Must be able to work in a non climate controlled environment
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Forklift certified or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or GED
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Good mechanical aptitude – maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Strong shop math skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Team player
• Extremely reliable!
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills
• Drug free.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. regular standing, walking, carrying, reaching, bending and stooping.
Full Time – Permanent Position
M-F 7:00 to 3:30 (plus occasional overtime)
Competitive hourly wage with room for advancement
$22- $25/Hr. - DOE
