Fabricator/Welder

Chalmers & Kubeck, a family-owned and operated, fast-paced and service-oriented company is seeking aWelder and Fabricatorwith 5 years or more years of experience to start immediately at our Aston, PA facility. Our shop repairs, welds and fabricates a variety of mechanical components for a wide variety of industries such as steel mills, power plants and chemical manufacturers. Our welders are responsible for reading prints, setting up welding machines and operating iron workers, brake presses and rolls to produce excellent quality parts. Applicants must have a sound work ethic, be reliably on time and have an eagerness to take on anything. Must be able to think on their own and make quality fabrications from materials and prints supplied to them. RESPONSIBILITIES • Full-time position - 40 hours per week • Must be willing to work Monday - Friday day shift (7:30a - 4:00p). Employee may move or rotate to night shift (4:00p - 12:30a) if needed • Overtime when needed • Typically our busiest times of year or spring and fall when we work 60+ hours per week • Minimal Travel • Pass pre-employment drug test and ongoing random drug testing • Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license • Read, write and speak English fluently • Willing to undergo a background check QUALIFICATIONS Applicantsmustdemonstrate the following capabilities via their attached cover letter or resume: • Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings • Fabrication • Welding - MIG - TIG - Stick - Steel - Stainless Steel - Stellite 6 & 21 - Aluminum • Band Saw • Iron Worker • Rolls • Brake Press • Provide your own hand tools • Other duties as assigned BENEFITS • Any hours over 40 in a week are at 1.5 x base pay rate • Any Sunday or holiday hours are at 2.0 x base pay rate • 401k with match • Health insurance • Dental Insurance • Paid vacation INTERVIEW PROCESS Candidates will be phone screened prior to an in-person interview at our shop.
