Job Description

Job Description: Facial Aesthetic / Facial Plastics Surgeon

Build a facial aesthetics program in Acadiana, LA—AAAHC office with 3 ORs, CRNA & no call. Focus on facelift/neck & rhinoplasty. Up to $680k total earnings ($300–$350k base + 30% over $900k**). Patient-first culture; prepaid cosmetic model.**

  • Location: Acadiana Region, Louisiana (Lafayette/Crowley corridor)
  • Setting: AAAHC-accredited, office-based surgery center • 3 ORs • CRNA anesthesia • No hospital call
  • Employment: W-2 or 1099 (candidate preference)
The Opportunity

A physician-owned cosmetic surgery center is launching a dedicated Facial Aesthetics Program and seeks a surgeon who thrives on precision, communication, and building something lasting. You’ll concentrate on facelift/neck lift and rhinoplasty, supported by seasoned staff, a prepaid cosmetic revenue model, and a robust, data-driven marketing engine. This is a rare chance to own the facial line in a modern, office-based environment—no hospital call—with leadership that values kindness, accountability, and excellent outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and grow a facial-only surgical practice (body work is not the focus).
  • Perform facelift/neck lift, rhinoplasty, brow/forehead lift, otoplasty, chin/jaw implants, facial fat grafting (blepharoplasty optional by mutual interest).
  • Conduct surgeon-led consults during ramp; collaborate with NPs/PCCs as volumes mature.
  • Operate in an AAAHC office OR with CRNA anesthesia; many cases under local/MAC in additional procedure rooms.
  • Uphold a patient-first culture: night-of-surgery calls, <24-hour message response, appropriate chaperone documentation, clear expectations, and disciplined photography standards.
  • Partner with leadership on analytics, education, before/after library growth, and continuous quality improvement.
Schedule & Environment
  • OR cadence: Main anesthesia room runs Mon–Thu, 3 weeks/month; additional rooms support local/MAC cases.
  • Systems: Greenway/PrimeSuite EMR; standardized photography (3D can be evaluated as the program scales).
  • Hospital interface: Not required. Optional limited breast reconstruction at a nearby hospital only if you wish to maintain that skillset (no formal call).
Compensation (clear & transparent)
  • Total potential earnings: Up to $680,000 (illustrative)
  • Base: $300,000–$350,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Variable: 30% of personal collections over $900,000 (all cosmetic cases are prepaid)
  • Structure: W-2 or 1099 (your choice)
  • CME: $3,000–$4,000 annually
  • Benefits (if W-2): Health insurance; SIMPLE IRA 3% match; PTO/CME days finalized at offer
  • Malpractice: If W-2, typically employer-provided (offer reflects this). If 1099, surgeon provides coverage (proof of limits; tail as applicable).
  • Relocation/Sign-on: Considered case-by-case to support a smooth transition
The “up to $680k” figure illustrates realistic year-one potential with strong consult flow and conversions; actual earnings depend on your collections and case mix.
What Success Looks Like (first 12 months)
  • Access: 10–12 consults/week steady state; no-show =5–8% with disciplined confirmation.
  • Conversions: 55–62% consult?surgery for major facial procedures (rhinoplasty often higher; facelift improves with selection and education).
  • OR utilization: 1.6–2.0 major cases per anesthesia day; add blocks as sustained volume warrants.
  • Collections: $1.5M–$2.0M annualized and trending toward ~$2.5M at maturity.
  • Experience: 100% night-of-surgery calls documented; consistent growth of a high-quality before/after library.
Qualifications
  • One of the following board pathways:
    • ABPS (board-certified or board-eligible), or
    • ENT ? Facial Plastics (ABOHNS with facial plastics fellowship/credentials), or
    • AACS cosmetic fellowship with strong facial portfolio (aware of credential disclosure norms).
  • 1–7 years post-training preferred (coachable, program-builder mindset).
  • Demonstrated strength in facelift/neck and rhinoplasty; comfort with local/MAC facial cases; clean NPDB.
  • Warm, low-ego communicator who treats patients and staff with respect and follows through promptly.
