Family Medicine Residency Director | Northwest Indiana | 18 residents

We are seeking a Program Director for an established Family Medicine Residency program in Northwest Indiana - about an hour outside of Chicago. The program is in its third year with a total of eighteen residents.
The program is focused on outpatient family medicine, though it would have many opportunities for both outpatient and inpatient settings to provide the graduating residents with the skills to run a successful practice.

About the open position:

•  Approximately 50% administration and 50% clinical
•  Must have 3+ years of academic medicine experience as a Program Director or Core Faculty
•  To oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education is maintained.
•  Establish strategic direction of the program, its standards, quality, and reputation of the Family Medicine Residency program as followed by faculty and residents.

Requirements:

•  Board certified in Family Medicine
•  Clinically practicing physician
•  Documented educational and/or administrative experience required.
•  Experience in graduate medical education required.
•  Excellent communication and people skills
•  The ability to effectively deal with a broad range of people and personalities.
