Fashion Designer (Apparel, Accessories, Novelties & Home)

Location:Renton, WA (Hybrid) Reports to:VP of Design & Development, Creative Directors Partners with:Product Developers, Graphic Designers, Sample Coordinators Overview We’re seeking a highly creative Fashion Designer to join our team, focused on building seasonal collections across men’s, women’s, and youth categories. This role blends trend-driven fashion thinking with mass-market commercial sensibility, helping us deliver innovative products to retail partners like Walmart and Sam’s Club. About Us Greensource is a Renton, WA–based design and development company specializing in apparel, accessories, novelties, and occasionally home goods for some of the largest retailers in the world, including Walmart and Sam’s Club. Beyond our retail partnerships, we also develop our own internal brands — creating cohesive concepts that draw from our experiences across diverse product categories and end uses. Our portfolio ranges from licensed product and performance outdoor wear to novelty/holiday programs and lifestyle collections. No two seasons are alike — we thrive on variety, creativity, and speed, producing fun and exciting product across a broad spectrum of categories. Key Responsibilities • Research seasonal trends, color palettes, materials, and silhouettes aligned with consumer insights and brand positioning. • Design collections across apparel, accessories, novelties, and home categories with creativity and commercial appeal. • Partner closely with Product Developers, Graphic Designers, and Sample Coordinators to build cohesive collections, artwork, and seasonal assortments. • Create CADs, detailed sketches, and presentation boards for internal reviews and buyer meetings. • Collaborate with Technical Designers to ensure design intent translates accurately into prototypes and bulk production. • Contribute to fit sessions, sample reviews, and design critiques. • Maintain awareness of competitor assortments and retail benchmarks. Qualifications • Degree in Fashion Design (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or equivalent training/certification) or equivalent relevant experience. • 3–5 years of experience in apparel design (experience in licensed product, novelty, or performance wear a plus). • Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD presentation. • Knowledge of garment construction and fabrications. • Ability to balance multiple categories/projects on fast timelines. • Strong storytelling skills — able to connect inspiration to final product.
