Technical leader responsible for defining and enabling next-generation cloud application architectures integrating edge, AI/ML acceleration, real-time networking, and hybrid infrastructure solutions in both traditional and secure infrastructure environments. This Fellow will drive cross-stack innovation and industry alignment to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance application platforms for enterprise and industrial workloads that continue to expand and accentuate the capabilities of AMD’s ZEN architecture. This role will primarily focus on external use cases, but will partner with Silicon Engineering, Product Management and leadership to define and drive innovative software and hardware solutions.
• Cloud-Native Architecture Leadership:Define next-generation cloud application frameworks leveraging microservices, data streaming, and hybrid deployment models
• Edge-to-Cloud Integration:Architect solutions combining edge analytics, deterministic networking (TSN, 5G Private Networks), and real-time workload consolidation for latency-sensitive workloads
• Persistent Memory & Data Path Acceleration:Design storage-class memory solutions (e.g., PMFS on 3DXPoint) and optimize AI/ML and database workloads for next-generation memory architectures.
• AI & FPGA/GPU Acceleration:Enable edge and cloud inferencing acceleration through integration of FPGA, GPU, andOpenVINO-class technologies
• Virtualization & Security Innovation:Lead virtualization feature enablement (VT-d, SR-IOV, SIOV) and secure workload isolation across OS, hypervisor, and orchestration frameworks.
• Standards & Ecosystem Influence:Represent the company in key standards bodies and open-source communities (OpenFog, OCP, Linux Kernel, Kubernetes) to shape industry direction.
• Cross-Stack Enablement:Partner with silicon, OS, and application teams to deliver integrated HW/SW solutions that meet performance, QoS, and observability goals.
• Technical Mentorship:Guide senior engineers and architects, establishing architectural best practices for cloud applications and infrastructureQualifications:
