We're seeking experienced and results-driven individuals in Toronto who have experience in the restaurant/hospitality industries to join our energetic sales team at Lightspeed Commerce.
As a Territory Account Executive, you will work with our customers to identify ways that they could grow their business through better use of data on their customers, menu, and service staff. In order to do this effectively you must maintain in-depth industry knowledge including marketplace conditions, and competitor positioning in your geographic area. Each month you will drive the sales cycle from lead generation, to demonstrations, to closing deals.
What youâll be responsible for:
- Becoming an expert in our industry, the product, and our restaurateurs
- Carrying out the whole sales cycle which includes identifying and developing leads, meeting with your clients, creating value propositions, structuring financial deals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Close business consistently if not above quota
- Conducting discovery calls and visits with customers to identify their business challenges
- Successfully running in person and online demonstrations of Lightspeed with restaurateurs
- Maintaining up-to-date records within Lightspeedâs CRM solution
- Processing sales quotes and orders in an accurate manner
- 100% net new business focus in your assigned territory, where the expectation is to be in the field for the majority of each week
What youâll be bringing to the team:
- 1 year experience with sales (with closing/quota carrying experience)
- Familiarity and proficiency with full lifecycle sales process management
- Understanding of solution-based consultative sales
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM experience to manage and organize pipeline
- Professional poise and confidence while communicating with executives
- Committed to a culture of positivity and high performance
- You value feedback, and thrive on constant improvement and learning
- Ability to work 100% remotely within your sales region
- Strong work ethic, and a self-driven desire to succeed
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience prospecting new business
- Reliable mode of transportation daily
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
- Experience selling in a SaaS environment
- Prior experience as an AE with a track record of success with in-person sales
- Prior experience working in/with restaurants is a plus!

At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skillset, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of 60 000.00 - 120 000.00, depending on the candidateâs location. Additionally, this role may be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, 401K plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off.Â
Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within the United States, and refers to the amount Lightspeed is willing to pay at the time of this posting, which may vary depending on the candidateâs actual location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
