We are a fast-growing provider of AI vision and automation solutions helping manufacturers and logistics companies achieve smarter, more efficient operations. Our platform combines advanced computer vision, machine learning, and robotics to solve real-world problems like defect inspection, picking automation, and quality control.
We are expanding our U.S. team and seeking aField Application Engineerto join us in Houston.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Technical Support
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers during system setup, integration, and post-deployment support.
• Train customer engineers on how to use our AI inspection platforms (e.g., SolVision, SolMotion).
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues across PC, edge devices, and cloud-hosted systems.
System Integration & Architecture Understanding
• Configure and deploy AI models, camera systems, and image pipelines in real factory environments.
• Work with factory IT or automation teams to ensure proper communication via REST APIs, file I/O, or digital I/O.
• Understand system architecture: model flow, backend logic, result handling, and API integration.
Deployment & Execution
• Support field testing, fine-tuning of image models, and post-install validation.
• Assist in factory/site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) and customer success handoff.
• Collect usage data and customer feedback to guide product improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with project managers and solution architects to translate customer requirements into actionable engineering plans.
• Help document case studies, system checklists, and best practices for future deployments.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in field engineering, vision systems, AI model deployment, or factory automation.
• Solid understanding of API usage, client-server software architecture, and data pipelines.
• Comfortable working with industrial PCs, embedded systems (Jetson, IPCs), and camera configurations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% across Texas and the U.S.
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with Python, JSON, Postman, or REST API workflows.
• Exposure to AI inference engines like ONNX Runtime, Triton Server, or TensorRT.
• Experience with PLCs, robotic arms (e.g., UR, ABB, KUKA), and industrial protocols.
• Understanding of 2D/3D vision, segmentation, classification, and OCR models.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
