Summary: The Tempo Field Manager oversees the daily operations of the service team, ensuring high-quality HVAC service, repair, and maintenance for residential clients. This role includes supervising technicians, managing service schedules, handling customer concerns, and supporting sales and installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support. • Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate service calls to maximize technician efficiency and customer satisfaction. • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, policies, and performance expectations. • Foster a positive, safety-conscious, and team-oriented work environment. • Monitor employee performance through job inspections, customer feedback, and KPI tracking. • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans when necessary. • Recognize high performers and address underperformance promptly. • Develop training and skill enhancement programs to improve technical and customer service capabilities. • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company standards, safety guidelines, and applicable codes. • Support the installation and sales departments by coordinating follow-up service or warranty calls. • Review completed jobs for accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction. • Handle escalated customer service issues and provide solutions in a timely, professional manner. • Maintain inventory levels for service trucks and recommend reorders as needed. • Assist with performance evaluations and technician development. • Track service metrics, such as response times, completion rates, and technician performance. • Ensure technicians are equipped with the proper tools, materials, and training to complete jobs effectively. • Provide technical support to field technicians as needed. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC preferred. • 5+ years of HVAC service experience, including supervisory or lead technician responsibilities. • Valid EPA Certification & TDLR. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair techniques. • Proven leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational abilities. • Proficiency with service management software and scheduling systems. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Work Environment: • This position requires both office and field work. • Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call shifts may be required depending on workload or emergencies. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or rooftops. • Must be able to work in varied weather conditions.
