Field Marketing Representative (Contractor) – Local Business Outreach

Job Title: Field Marketing Representative – Local Business Outreach Location:Houston, TX (local travel to business parks and offices required) Employment Type:Contractor - Part-Time / Flexible Hours Compensation:Paid per business drop-off + performance incentives About the Role Expert Computer Solutions (ECS) is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and self-motivated field marketing representative to help us introduce local businesses to our company. In this role, you will visit targeted business areas, drop off prepared marketing materials, and collect key contact information from decision-makers. This is a hands-on, in-person position that is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people and representing a reputable local IT company. Key Responsibilities • Visitat least 15-20 local businesses per daywithin assigned business parks, office centers, and industrial areas. • Personally hand ECS marketing packages (provided to you) to a person at each business (preferably the decision-maker or front desk staff.) Packages must never be left unattended at vacant reception areas, lobbies, or outside doors. • Engage with front desk staff or decision-makers using a friendly, professional script. • Collect accurate contact information, including decision-maker’s name, title, email, and phone number. • Ask qualifying questions about the business’s current IT setup (e.g., number of employees/computers, current IT provider). • Record all collected information clearly on provided intake forms. • Maintain a professional appearance, wearing an ECS-branded shirt and business-casual attire. • Return completed forms/materials to ECS at the end of each canvassing shift. Qualifications • Required: • Outgoing and personable with strong verbal communication skills. • Comfortable approaching and starting conversations with business owners and staff. • Organized, punctual, and detail-oriented when collecting and recording information. • Able to walk and carry light marketing materials for several hours at a time. • Access to reliable transportation for local travel. • Preferred: • Prior experience in canvassing, field marketing, or sales. • Familiarity with professional/business environments in the Houston area. Performance Expectations • Minimum of15-20 business drop-offs per day. • Only drop-offs made directly to a person will be counted toward your daily total. Leaving materials unattended at empty desks, in mail slots, or on doorsteps does not qualify as a completed drop-off. • Clear, legible, and complete contact information on all forms. • Positive representation of ECS in every interaction, showing politeness, respect, and professionalism. Compensation • Paidper business drop-off(rate discussed during interview). • Bonus incentives for booked appointments that result from your drops and conversations. • Branded materials and training provided by ECS.
