Job Overview
Bee Sweet Citrus is seeking an optimistic, committed, and motivated candidate who has at least 1 years of experience scouting. This job will require traveling from one ranch to another which will require a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
Duties / Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepare traps for placement in the fields.
• Inspect and monitor traps weekly.
• Collect soil, fruit, tissue, and other samples.
• Assist PCA’s with field checking, pest and weed identification, writing recommendations and fertilization plans.
• Place traps in fields, conducting field evaluations, and pulling soils and leaf samples.
• Learn and apply IPM practices, calibrations, safety and mixing.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and in a team setting
• The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
• The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to think rationally and apply logic during high-stress situations
• Must be able to bend, and stoop, including the need to move and lift heavy objects
• Must be able to work both inside and outside conditions, frequent exposure to heat, cold, adverse weather, greases, oils, noise, chemicals and work in and around moving vehicles
• Must be able to climb, reach/stretch arms legs or other parts of the body to grasp objects
